HWS Charitable Giving
HWS 2014-2015 Charitable Giving
HomeWork Solutions is supporting it’s local community food bank.
We have two events per year, one at the beginning of school summer vacation as a “Teddy Bear Picnic” and another around the December holidays. Both staff and the company participate.
Loudoun Interfaith Relief serves Loudoun County, VA. LIR clients are typically part of hard-working families who do not have enough resources to provide food for themselves and their families. They are forced to make choices between food and everyday necessities. Loudoun Interfaith Relief and HWS want to help alleviate their struggle to put food on the table.
HWS 2013 Charitable Giving
HomeWork Solutions has joined Charity:Water’s September campaign.
Many of us have no idea what it’s like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink — even the water in our toilets is clean!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, 5,000 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
HomeWork Solutions established this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and we need your help. If we meet our goal, 20 homes will be provided clean water – and the girls in these households will be freed from water collection and have options for education. Clean water can change the opportunities and options for the next generation.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
HWS 2012 Charitable Giving
Each year HomeWork Solutions Inc., donates a portion of our profits to worthy causes. For the past several years some of those funds have gone to food bank programs in the U.S.
For 2012 our company supported a cause of unique character and abilities, The Gelardi GCM Member Support Fund. This is a charitable fund of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers. The Fund was established to provide financial assistance to members and staff of NAPGCM who are suffering temporary financial hardship. Started after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina to help members displaced by the disaster, the Fund is a resource for members in need of assistance due to medical or natural emergencies or who are experiencing unusual financial hardship. Recipient NAPGCM members are then able to continue to provide much needed support to their elderly clients, who themselves face financial hardships due to disaster.
As a company, we are impressed with the professionalism, passion and commitment of the NAPGCM, and we made the decision to contribute to this fund as a way to show our support and respect for the geriatric care manager community and the work they do!
HomeWork Solutions also proudly supports Eco/Café Haiti Project. This project teaches rural Haitian to become self sufficient by learning to grow sustainable crops.
We are thankful for the continued referrals and support from both our agency referral partners and our clients themselves. HomeWork Solutions has a 20 year history of continued growth. We are so pleased to be able to “give back”.
